Without the Hateful Rhetoric

Redirecting the Circular Firing Squad

Telluride, Colorado, An Inspirational Place

This weekend, Barbara and I spent a few days in Telluride, CO, a mountain town in southwestern Colorado that sits at 8,821 ft. above sea level, boxed in on three sides by beautiful, towering peaks.

During the wintertime it is a flurry of activity as about a half million skiers show up for the slopes here. Surrounding Telluride is the highest concentration of 13,000 and 14,000 peaks in North America so you know the skiing is amazing.

During the summertime, the small town hosts many festivals showcasing the arts from bluegrass, to films, to jazz to painting. These festivals draw thousands more visitors in the warm weather months.

The spring, however, is beautiful. The snowmelt is occurring but the mountain trails are becoming passable again. The waterfalls are flowing at full force and the bright sunshine is interrupted only occasionally by a few showers. No, all of the shops aren’t open. Some proprietors take a breather between the two busy seasons. At this time of year the little town is actually quiet and serene. As a writer, I could definitely be inspired to write in the springtime in Telluride!

So here is my ask. Would you please ask everyone you know to buy my book so that someday I will be able to afford to spend a couple of months per year writing in Telluride Colorado?

Okay…I understand. But I had to ask!
